Earlier this year I decided to embark on The 100 Day Project. I managed about 15 days. So, not so great. When I heard Kristin (of Awesome Ladies fame) on the 100 Creatives podcast talking about her 100 Day project I thought it sounded pretty cool and something I could achieve (you can listen to the episode here). Then Kristin released it as an Awesome Ladies Project, a follow along email challenge. I jumped in.
My plan – answer each daily question using up my stash of 3×4 Project Life cards.
9 Days in and I’ve managed to do every question so far, except today which I’ll do while I watch Game of Thrones. Once I get to day 25 I’ll share my first batch of cards.
I’ve finally finished my Awesome Ladies Project pages for January, February & March (thanks in part to the 100 day project) but never got around to posting so over the next few days I’ll be sharing them here
I’ve started my album with a 3×8 pocket and 2 3×4 cards from my stash and backed it with a 3×8 page from Ali Edwards.
Next we welcome January pages with a Snapcaht of me, my January Currently list and 5 facts about me. The backside of that page is a #thursday3 list, a mirror selfie and a quote card I had in my Becky Higgins collection.
Another 3×8 divider. Front side is a list of 39 things about me (as I’m 39 this year) and the reverse is my journaling for my Day in the Life, which I did on my birthday.
Next up a mini snapshot of my Day in the Life using a bunch of 2×2 pictures.
Well, yet again I fell off the wagon and haven’t managed to create a page a day. Life (& work) has gotten in the way of my creative mojo. BUT I have a plan. I’m just going to try for 100 layouts even if it takes me til the end of the year. I may do a bunch in one day. I may do one in a week. But I will be sharing them. So here are the first 10 pages I have done so far.
* My ALP pages will get their own posts so you will be able to check them out there
What Is the 100-Day Project? It’s a celebration of process that encourages everyone to participate in 100 days of making. The great surrender is the process; showing up day after day is the goal. For the 100-Day Project, it’s not about fetishizing finished products—it’s about the process. You can check it out or maybe even sign up for your own 100 Day Project here. We kick off on the 4th of April 2017.
I attempted this last year and failed but upside is I have a pile of pretty homemade PL cards. You can see some of them here.
This year I have decided that I’m going to do something, hopefully, more doable and something I need to get done – 100 layouts in 100 days. My hashtag, if you want to follow along on Instagram will be #nightwolfdoes100layouts
I fell a bit behind with my Awesome Ladies album but am slowly catching up so there will be a few catch up posts and then I can get back into posting the current weeks. It feels amazing to have an album that will actually be complete and I look forward to creating another mini album about me in 2017.
I seriously haven’t done a 12×12 layout in so long. You know what? I think I miss scrapping this size. I do so many pocket pages now that these pages feel kinda novel. I think I might make myself do some more of them. Anywho, this one was done for an online challenge.
It’s going in my wedding album, which I might get finished. Maybe even before our 10th wedding anniversary in November.
No idea what any of brands of paper are except the white cardstock is Kaisercraft, the ribbon is off our wedding presents, the petals are Prima, the quote sticker is Deja Views, the alphas are a mix of Heidi Swapp and Thickers and the journal card is from the Becky Higgins Wedding mini kit.
