Daily Pages 2021 – January

Welcome back to my Daily Pages sharing.
New here and don’t know what Daily Pages are?

Daily Pages are a creative practice that rukristin put into place for herself in early summer 2018. She wanted to spend more time being creative and in order to do that, she decided to spend a little bit of time working on that each day.

The way I found myself doing that was crafting in a notebook — working on one double page spread each day.

This practice has been the one thing that has levelled up my skills and personal style more than anything that I’ve ever done in my 15+ years of working with paper.

This year I am aiming for a notebook a month, creating spreads Monday to Friday. Each month may have a theme or just be a random assortment of pages. January was a random assortment. Instagram screenshots, Currently lists on Mondays, Thursday 3 on Thursdays, trying out new techniques, using my stash and just creating.

My cover this month is made using paper and washi from Planners Anonymous. Paper – Note to self kit. Washi – Under the Stars kit.
Anywho, on with the pages…

Daily Pages 2020–Volume 5

Here we are. Mid September (how did we even get to September already???) and I’m making a start on Volume 6 of my Daily Pages. Means it must be time to share Volume 5 with you all.

What are Daily Pages?, I hear you ask. Well, to quote the amazing Kristin of the Awesome Ladies Project

I wanted to incorporate more creative time into my everyday routine. This wasn’t some flashy, new project I wanted to do, or some task I wanted to complete, this was an honest attempt at trying to infuse more creativity into my daily life.

I came up with a very simple practice of taking a small notebook and working on a double-page spread. The next day I would move onto the following pages, and so on and so forth until I finished the book.

Daily Pages should be quick. The purpose of Daily Pages is for you to form a creative habit that works for you.

Onto my pages from Volume 5…

Daily Pages – January 2020

I’m loving creating my daily pages again. It’s my little 5-10 minutes of creativity a day…. that sometimes ends up with me getting in a creative burst and creating lots more. I may not do it every day but I have managed to do most days so far.

For Vol 1 I created my own book using some old Urban Lily paper for the cover and some 100gsm paper on the inside.

Instead of sharing each book as I finish it, I thought I might share my pages at the end of the month. On to January.
