What’s happening at the Awesome Ladies Project
We’ve well into the Fall Semester of the Feminist Scrapbook School and the current class is all about YOU!
Unfold Your Story
Dive into the world of scrapbooking with “Unfold Your Story: An Artistic Dive into Self with ‘Mini-Book of Me’”! In this online course, you’ll craft a captivating accordion-style mini-book of your favorite things, using our easy Fold-it-In method. Open to all levels, this fun and empowering journey celebrates your unique story, combining artistry with the joy of self-expression in a warm, welcoming community.
I love my Books of Me albums and am very excited to get stuck into this one.
You can join Unfold Your Story by taking just the class (costs $39US) or by becoming a member of Feminist Scrapbook School (cost $279US annually, $79US quarterly or $27US monthly).
And we’re back
Oops someone forgot to pay their hosting again. Anyways, I’m back and I have lots of goodies to share with you over the next few weeks. Lots of updates of what I’ve been creating.
I’ve taken on the role of part time teacher as my eldest is now home schooling and that in itself is an interesting ride. We’ll be blogging about it, including all our art projects. If you’re interested you can follow our journey over at Schooling in the Den.
Now to organise some new posts to share with you all….

It that time of year again – time for the Awesome Ladies Project Virtual Scrapbook Festival! Join in the FREE festival and come get your craft on with an amazing group of ladies. The festival starts on August 22nd (US time) and goes until the 27th.
Kristin & the team have so much planned for the week including games, challenges and techniques for your Daily Pages. There will be BINGO and lots of fun and creating are guaranteed.
It’s not just about the creating, it’s about the community. Getting to know each other, make new friends, catch up with old ones (something I’m looking forward to as I miss hanging out with my ALP girl gang over winter). Join the After Dark chat on the Saturday evening (US time) for lots of creative fun and chatter.
Come hear about the awesomeness that is Feminist Scrapbook School & give it a try for a discounted price! The fall semester is going to be epic – in my opinion anyway, I’m super excited for the workshops coming up.

Temu shopping haul
I’ve been a Wish & SHEIN shopper for cheaper craft stuff for awhile now and have mostly been pretty happy with the results. A new player entered the scene recently, Temu, and I decided to check them out.
I still love shopping at my favourite online stores but when I want something cheap, that I don’t mind waiting for, these are my go tos.
Anywho, onto my first order. I started small – a few stencils, a pack of stickers, some wax melts & stamp plus some storage boxes. The order was shipped within 24 hours of placing it and took about 2 weeks to get here, which is pretty good.
I ordered 2 lots of stencils – a single stencil and a pack of 12 stencils.
What I ordered
and what I got
The quality of the stencils is great and they are holding up to a variety of mediums so far.
Next up is the stickers
and what I got
These a bigger than I expected but I love them. A nice mix of washi style, words/quotes, florals, butterflies.
I’ll be putting them in these storages boxes. I’m definitely going to be ordering a heap more of these for my junk journal supplies.
and finally some wax melts, a spoon and a wax seal
I may have since placed another 2 orders getting more seals.
Overall I’m happy with what I got and I’ll be back to share my next orders when they arrive.
