I’m giving this a go again. I’ve tried in previous years and failed. I think I have done it once for a full 100 days.

What is the 100 Day Project?

The idea is simple: choose a creative project, do it every single day for 100 days, and share your process on your social accounts using the hashtag #The100DayProject.

Read all about it and how you can get involved at https://www.the100dayproject.org/

My project – working through some of the many workshops I have signed up for in the last 12 months and never done, as well as working on my 2023 Book of Me.
I’m starting with Francisca Nunes’ free class Fragments.

I’ll be sharing updates here once a week and hopefully on my Instagram daily.

    Wish me luck.

Are you doing the 100 Day Project? If so let me know in the comments and link me up so I can cheer you along

  • Awesome Ladies Project presents Feminist Scrapbook School

If you’ve been following me for awhile you’ll know how u I love Kristin and the Awesome Ladies Project. I love that there is a free membership that offers so much stuff but there is also a paid membership that gives you so much more. The All Access Club is getting an overhaul in 2023 and going forward will be known as Feminist Scrapbook School.

Scrapbooking the stories of your life is a radical act of self-care, a way to state your existence, and a simple, creative way to show up for yourself.
You are the author of your own adventures — even when those adventures take place in the comfort of your own home. Every story is valid, and we’re here to help you tell the ones most important to you.
The Awesome Ladies Project’s Feminist Scrapbook School is the only place on the planet to teach you how to scrapbook & document your life through an anti-patriarchy, anti-capitalist, anti-white supremacy lens.

Kristin & the team over at ALP are holding an Orientation Week starting January 17.

  • Crafty Goals for 2023

Another year and another list of goals I’d like to achieve

Daily Pages – I don’t know if I’ll do these every month but I’d like to create 2 field notes books for the year – Currently and Thursday 3. Watch this space.

100 Happy Days – it’s an easy project that I love doing.

Photo-A-Day – I really want to make a full 365 and add them to the gallery at the end of each month.

Book of Me. Looking forward to the changes Kristin is making to this project this year.

Memory Planner. I managed to get myself enough inserts for this year & next. This project really seems to work for me.

Other projects – Day in the Life, Week in the Life, December Documenting.

Mixed media projects – Junk Journal January and July, Creative journal using prompts from Helen Colebrook on Patreon.

What’s on your list for this year?

  • 2022 in review

Here we are in 2023 so it’s time to do a review.

I didn’t pick a word of the year in 2022 but if I had Chaotic would probably have been a good choice.  A few life issues and events got in the way of my crafting and I now know that I need to schedule craft time.

Daily pages ended up being very on and off. I got to June with the 4×6 index cards and I do love them. I worked through the 30 days of showing up at the Awesome Ladies and did my Daily Pages in Canva. This was a great way of getting my pages done. Further into the year I found somewhere in Australia that sells Field Notes so I tried that and really love that size.

100 Happy Days. Done & dusted for another year.

Try a photo a day challenge. I managed to pretty much keep up with this, only missing a few days here and there. Now I need to save them and add them to the gallery.

I could go on and on about how much I love the Heidi Swapp memory planner system using the Storyline Chapters books but I’m not going to. I fell a bit behind over winter but I have the whole year planned digitally and all my photos up to December printed.

Due to some health issues (not mine), work has been a bit quieter so money is a lot tighter and sadly I had to give up a few things. Fussy Cutting Cuties was one. The exchange rate between here and the US is killer. I will miss this one.

Day in the Life and Week in the Life were both done and in my memory planner.

December scrapbooking didn’t exactly happen as we were busy with all the end of year festivities as well as end of primary school events for our eldest. I did, however, journal daily so I can sit down and get my pages done when I feel like it.

How did your crafting plans go in 2022?

  • Week in the Life 2020

Week in the Life is a week-long documentation project from the amazing scrapbooker/memory keeper Ali Edwards. You can see previous years by clicking the WitL tag.

This year I ended up doing much more journaling than picture taking but the beauty of it is I can always go back and take photos later.

Most of our days were taken up with work (the joys of being your own boss and an essential service) and schooling from home. Or should I say the battle to get the eldest to do her schooling.

I decided to add a little something new this year to my journaling and at the end of each day  filled in the answers to the following questions:

    Today I:

    • watched
    • went
    • read
    • wore
    • listened to
    • ate
    • got up. went to bed
    • weather
    • made
    • on my list

Really apart from the schooling from home and not going anywhere unless really necessary, this year wasn’t all that different to previous years. Now to get my pages done in my Covid album.

  • Zentangles

I’ve always admired zentangles but I didn’t realise how easy they could be. Ok maybe not easy (cause some of them are damn hard) but doable! I’ve been doing the Zen Art Challenge for a couple of months now and really loving it. Miss K even wants to learn! Here’s my tangles from January and February

  • Day in the Life – July 2016

Another round of Day in the Life this year. We had a pretty busy day but I didn’t really take a lot of photos.

    Highlights of the day…

    • temper tantrums because someone didn’t want to wear her new clothes to soccer
    • soccer. They won 6-0.
    • walking to the footy. Fireworks and celebrations of 15 years of Hawthorn FC in Tasmania.
    • It’s footy time! Lots of snuggles today. And the Hawks won. Just.
    • A little Pokemon Go on the way back to the car. 2 Pokestops and a couple of new Pokemon. Plus we learned something new.
    • KFC for tea.
    • Sleepy children.
    • Mum and dad time – tv, social media and a cold drink
    • A little brain training before bed
    • Gotta love the Day One app for my Day in the Life journaling.
  • Week in the Life 2014 – Sunday

And here we are the last day of Week in the Life for 2014. I made it through a whole week this year even if I forgot to take a few photos towards the end. I made heaps of notes of what we did though.
