  • Some exciting news

I applied earlier this month for a Creative Team spot at a new Project Life challenge blog, not thinking I’d get picked. I got home today from a trip to town to check out the Launceston Harvest Market (& a little shopping at Shiploads) to an email offering me a spot on the team! I’m super excited to be part of the team at Life in Details. I’ve also been asked to be CT coordinator too so that could be fun.

    What is Life in Details?

We are a challenge blog for those that love all things Project Life. Whether you are just starting out or are a veteran, this challenge blog is for you.
Challenges will be posted on the 1st of the month and due the last day of the month.
We will also have tutorials and share Project Life inspiration as well

I’m looking forward to working with some other great scrappers – Amanda Sheen-Thorne, Amanda Francis, Amber Reade, Darcy Lagrandeur, Katherine Prefol and Rachel Leanna

Check out the blog on the 1st September for the first challenge. It’ll be a good one.

  • Project Life–June & July 2013

Hmmm well I seemed to have missed posting my June pages and here we are at the end of July!! Where has 2013 gone? Before we know it we’ll be looking at the C word – yup Christmas is not that long away :/

Anywho, back to Project Life. Have you seen all the new goodies Becky has been announcing recently? Lots of gorgeous new products. You can check out the new releases on Becky’s blog. AND if you’re a digi/hybrid scrapper you can now get all the digi Project Life products at Digital Project Life.

The June/July Polly Scraps kit was gorgeous again

These kits are so worth the money (& I do love they are a Tassie site, Kayla is awesome)

    now my pages

    June (no journaling yet)

July (digi cause I ran out of photo paper – again… never ending when u print ur own photos)

I did promise some of my wedding pages and if you check out my Project Life page you can see a slideshow of my album so far but I’m working on a post to share what I’ve done so far 🙂 When we get  some nicer weather I’m hoping to get photos of my other PL albums (from 2009 to 2012) so I can get those slideshows up as well.

  • I’ve been playing

I’m lucky enough to be guesting over at Sawyer’s Place. They sell LOTS of gorgeous Washi designs (yes, I’ve joined the addicted masses – I LOVE Washi! – guess when lots of my scrap budget will go lol), the cutest flair and an awesome stuff called Sticky Paper.

I started off not really knowing what I’d create with the Sticky Paper and then after looking at the flair I decided to create a couple of pages. Never used flair before (even though I have a few in my stash) so I wasn’t sure how I’d use them but once I got started… and it’s been so long since I’ve done a traditional page or two.

    Our Little Puddle Jumper
Supplies: Kraft CS, Pebbles Barnwood Gray PP, Sampson Locked In (Chainlink Fence) Sticky PaperBianca Picnic Ants Sticky Paper, Viola Collection Flair, Kaisercraft alpha stickers

    Click
Supplies: Colorbok PP, Pebbles Barnwood Gray PP, Bianca Picnic Ants Sticky Paper

after playing with pages I made a few cards to add to my Project Life stash

    Project Life cards
Supplies: Lined 4×6 cards, Becky Higgins Project Life 3×4 grid cards, Viola Collection Flair, Sampson Collection Flair, Sampson Locked In (Chainlink Fence) Sticky Paper, Bianca Picnic Ants Sticky Paper

I think I might be slightly obsessed with Sticky Paper. It makes creating so much easier – just cut & stick. What’s not to love? The flair is gorgeous. It’s not sticky backed so how you attach it is up to you. I used glossy accents on the cards and double sided tape on my layout.
Here’s a selection of the other gorgeous flair & Sticky Paper available from Sawyer’s Place

  • May 2013 Project Life

Wow June already. Where have the last five months gone?

I’m pretty happy to say I’ve actually caught up with my 2013 album. AND I’ve managed to photograph it all. All I need to do now is upload it and add the slideshow to my Project Life page.

Making a change to my monthly posts. No linky any more. If you want to share your pages – link me up in the comments.

AC Digitals now have the full Rain edition. If you got Rain as part of the Digi Files you’ll need to get Bi-fold cards, Filler cards and Title cards from memory to complete the set.

Project Life is now available in Australia too! CraftHouse (from New Zealand) have opened CraftHouse Australia. Other stores are stocking PL now too so ask your local scrap shop if they will be stocking it. Becky Higgins has a list of online stores stocking PL and it looks like Spotlight will be stocking PL too. So lots of options now 🙂

I got my first Polly Scraps Project Life kit this month (after my first one went missing in the mail *sad face*)

You can’t see the 6×6 papers but this kit is so worth the money. Lots of gorgeous goodies.

Now onto my pages for May (ooh actual photos of pages – need to work out a good way of photographing my layouts)

Will be back later in the month to share with you all the start of my wedding album which I’ve decided to do Project Life style.

A couple of Project Life links first up for you this month. Just stuff I’ve Pinned over the last few weeks.

But now onto my March pages

Using the new Midnight Edition digital bits from AC Digitals. Loving all the new editions!

  • Project Life Feb 2013

Here we are at the start of another new month (well 7 days in – so sue me… well don’t but u know lol)

This month sees me do two 2 page spreads as I do one for February and one for the birthday girl who turned three!!! this year, where has my baby gone 🙁

But first I thought I’d share a great little resource I found while looking for some Project Life printables the other week. One Velvet Morning shares Project Life freebies, printables & mixed media collages. I’ve found some very cute journaling cards and quote cards which I’ve resized for PL.

Onto the albums. Still digital cause I haven’t printed them out. My aim for the month of March is to finally get the 2011/2012 pages finished so I’m not playing catch up this year. but back to the pages…

    and

blank spots on this one are for cards I’ve made myself 🙂

SO how are you going? Would love to see what you’ve created for February – join in our linky for February

You can check out my Project Life board on Pinterest for more PL stuff.

  • Project Life in 2013

If you’ve been following my blog you’ll know I started a series of posts about Project Life last year. I did 2 posts and then… well it kind of didn’t go anywhere. This year I am determined to do a little more and am getting a few fellow Project Lifer’s on board to keep me more accountable and help me out.

So what will you find each month?

    • I’ll be sharing my monthly spread (I do my Project Life monthly) and inviting you to share your pages too.
    • Other Project Lifer’s will be sharing their Project Life here too. How they do Project Life, what they love about the system and products they use.
    • Project Life finds – I do my Project Life as a combination of digital & paper so I’ll be sharing printable products that I find from around the net.
    • Project Life on Pinterest
    • and more

Would you like to be part of the team helping me run this series? Email me and we can have a chat 🙂

Onto the sharing. I’ve managed to get my cover & January pages finished digitally. Will print them out when I get more ink (& a new album – thanks to Mum & Dad for my birthday). Here’s my cover – with spaces left for 2 of my favourite photos of 2013.

and my January spread (minus journaling). I’m really not sure if I like my month title card yet so it may change.

Just a short post this month. I’d love to see what you’ve created this month, so feel free to leave a link to your pages in the linky below.

  • Journal Your Christmas–Week 4

    Week 4

Dec 22 – I’m thankful for having help over this Christmas period. I’m especially grateful for Aggie & Pa and Grandma & Grandad who have taken you out for a couple of hours on different occasions so your father & I can get things done

Dec 23 – Our Christmas stockings have never been hung by the chimney (even when we had a chimney) but can usually be found strewn, full, on chairs Christmas morning. This year, we’ve hung your stocking by the fire ready and waiting for Santa.

Dec 24 –  Christmas Eve. While you are sleeping, I’m busy wrapping the last of the presents, setting out milk and a biscuit for Santa and doing some last minute prep for tomorrow’s lunch.
You went to sleep so quickly tonight. Once you knew Santa was on his way, you were out like a light.

Dec 25 – Today we went to Aggie & Pa’s for breakfast. While we were gone Grandad & Mick came round to set up your swing set (a present from Grandma & Grandad). They were still setting it up when we got back so you got your present a little early & not totally set up. Everyone came round for lunch and the much anticipated pig wasn’t ready by lunchtime so it kept cooking while we enjoyed all the other goodies. Presents were swapped & a good time was had by most.

Dec 26 – Ah Boxing Day. Glad it is all over for another year. You spent the day playing with your new toys then in the afternoon went with Aggie for a swim (& got more presents) while Daddy, Mick & I watched the Doctor Who Christmas Special – The Snowmen. We all thought you might crash early but were still up at 10pm!!

I’m finishing my journal here this year – apart from my year in review page
