  • Log Your Memory – Baby’s First Year

I *heart* the Log Your Memory site & I *heart* the 2010 Memory Logbook so when Kristin released the Baby’s First Year Memory Logbook I knew I had to have it LOL And I am not disappointed either.
It’s divided into six sections (an intro to the book; capturing the arrival of your little one; a week by week section; a month by month section; a section looking at memorable moments in the first year; and a year in photos & first birthday.)
Each section has space to journal your thoughts and memories as well as some 8×8 spaces for pictures or mini layouts.
I’m really looking forward to filling this book in as we go through the rest of Miss K’s first year (& catching up on journaling the first 2 months)
So if you’re a scrapbooker, heck even if you aren’t, I would highly recommend this book to any parent.
Log Your Memory Baby’s First Year memory logbook – available as in a download & print yourself format, coil bound, soft cover paperback, hardcover and premium hardcover (all versions except the print yourself are only available at Lulu.com)
It’s 346 pages of baby memory goodness. You can preview pages here and read more about the book at this Log Your Memory blog post.

I’ve printed mine out and am slowly working thru the past 2 months (yup, the wolflet is 2 months already!). Will be back later to share a few pages with you all 🙂

Update – we’re up to 5 months now and I’ve fallen a bit behind. Hoping to catch up the weekend when I have a scrap day with Mum.

  • Log Your Memory 2010 Memory Logbook

(this is the first of a few posts I’m finally getting around to finishing & posting LOL)

I’ve decided to start doing some reviews on this site of my favourite products. I have not received any of these products for free & I am not being paid to review them. It’s just stuff I’ve bought that I love & want to share with all of you 🙂 If I’m offered a product to review I will begin the review post by saying so 🙂

So today’s product is the Log Your Memory 2010 Memory Logbook

For $19.95US (for the download & print yourself version) you get a great tool. It’s a scrapbook planner, journal/diary, idea book and more.

The logbook contains monthly and daily calendars with room to write in your monthly/daily activities (US holidays are also listed) and there is plenty of room to document your daily memories.
There is also a sot to create your own “Story List” of scrapbook pages and memories you want to share/create.
Each week there is a page dedicated to layout sketches and a weekly challenge question each with it’s own example to help get the ideas flowing
At the beginning of the logbook there is a yearly questionnaire as well as a monthly questionnaire each month looking back at favourite events for the month.

If you join the Log Your Memory site & buy any version of the Scrapbooker’s All-In-One Memory Logbook, any of the Monthly Logbooks, or Real Life Weekly Scrapbooking Challenges is invited to register for the Log Your Memory Book Club!
    Benefits include …
    * Upgraded status in the Community Forum & Layout Gallery and the title “Book Club Member” & special icon under  your profile.
    * Access to the private Memory Logbook Sample Layouts Album in the Gallery. This will allow you to view full-size, full-color images of the sample Weekly Challenge layouts found in your Logbook.
    * An increase in your daily image upload limit in the Gallery from the normal limit of 5 to a special Book Club Member limit of 8 uploads per day.
    * Access to special Book Club activities & programs, such as the Real Deal Book Club Rewards Program where you can earn points for participation and cash them in for discounts and other prizes, and special Book Club Challenge Chats where you can earn freebies and other prizes for completing our weekly challenges.

    What I love:
The format. I love how it’s set out. I love the monthly calendar at the start of each month.
The weekly challenges are a great inspiration.
The add-ons (Blog Topics; Check This Out! ~ Art, Music, Movies; Check This Out! ~ Website, Reading Material; Contact List; Fave Recipes & Meals; Gift Tracker; Layout Notes; List & Sketch Page; Menu Planner; Playlist; Profile Tracker; Reading Log; Simple Blank Sheet; Simple Grid Sheet; Simple Lined Sheet)
The website (forum & gallery) – super friendly and a great source on inspiration.

What I’m not so keen on:
It’s US holidays only. I guess doing holidays for every country would be a pain but I guess I’d prefer it if there were only the major holidays – like NYE, Valentine’s Day etc.

    The Details:
Log Your Memory 2010 Memory Logbook
    Print it yourself Download ($19.95US)
    Coil Bound ($34.95US)
    Perfect Bound ($29.95US)

  • Project 365 layouts

Here’s my first two weeks of layouts for Project 365 over at Weeds & Wildflowers

  • Art Journal pages

Spent yesterday playing in my art journal. I’ve decided that since I have picked the word ‘CREATE’ as my word for 2009, I’d get back into creating art journal pages.

  • and then came the layouts

(what is with those titles today lol)

Well it’s 8:35pm and I think I’m done for the night.

Here’s my entry for the RSC challenge at Hybrid
(it’s the right hand page of a two pager)

we had to create our own ‘recipe’ & mini this week. My ‘recipe was:

    Nightwolf’s Christmas Turkey sandwich

White bread – White or brown CS
    Slices of turkey – pp
a generous spread of cranberry sauce – stamping
a small handful of lettuce – flowers
a couple of slices of tomato – alpha
toothpick to hold it together – some bling

    and here’s my LO

and my mini was to use LO leftovers to make a bookmark.

(used my Slice to create the dream – I soo *heart* my Slice)

Played catch up on my LOs for the Mystical Jingle All The Way comp (I didn’t get last week’s LOs up in time but the wonderful gals there gave us all an extension to get all the LOs so far into the gallery by Sunday)

so here’s my LOs for Week 3

and this week’s challenges (week 4)

If the weather is the same tomorrow I may get some more scrapping done. if not I may do some tomorrow night.

Don’t forget, the Roll 2 Create DT call closes in 7 days 😉

  • The one where it rained & I got some scrapbooking done

Well here we are 13 days into summer and it’s pouring with rain, the radio suggested wind warnings for the whole state and to top it all off we lit the fire this morning.

In all fairness though darling hubby isn’t too well (food poisoning we think) so is really feeling the cold. poor bugger, he’s spent most his time asleep for the last couple of days (when he hasn’t been in the loo)

This weekend is also George Town On Show. Great weather for it 😉 We were meant to be helping out with Hawthorn today (we planned for a handball competition, selling merch & a membership drive) but cause of the weather we’re not doing it today. Tomorrow is the Christmas parade so hopefully the weather fines up and we can set everything up. Yup I’m going in the Christmas parade in my hawks gear with a little bit of pink too (this year’s theme is pink for breast cancer research)

On the upside thou I’m storming thru the LOs. The to do list for the weekend is:
    1 for Hybrid’s RSC comp
4 for Mystical’s Jingle All The Way comp
& gonna try & get the ones for the Hybrid CC done as well.

Okies back to the creating….. share some LOs later

  • A bunch of layouts and cards

and a scrappy shopping list mini book

    and the cards

    and the mini list book

  • LO sharing – Hybrid Designs Oct CC

Hybrid Designs Scrapbooking had their October Cyber Crop over the weekend. I got all the challenges done but scrapped the last LO cause I wasn’t happy with it but ya get that 😉

    Anywho here’s the LOs I did…….

    Challenge 1

    Challenge 2

    Challenge 3

    Card Challenge

So that’s it for now. Will hopefully get round to taking pics & uploading all the cards I’ve been working on in the next day or too but most likely I’ll do it on the weekend.

  • Mystical Scrapbooks Gladiators Week 1 to 5

Thought I’d share the first five weeks of the Mystical Scrapbooks Gladiators challenge.

  • Finally LOs to share

I have some LOs to share 🙂

My go at the White with One for August.

& here’s the LO I did for the White with One DT call but I never got it finished in time.

I’ve got three of the Mystical 26 LOs done (there are 11 prompts so far)

Challenge 1 was to feature handmade flowers on our LO.

Challenge 2 was to use a paper piece object on a LO.

Challenge 5 was a story board type LO

Here’s my take on the third Spellbound @ Mystical Scrapbooks

    and here’s two random LOs

this one is for a mini album I’m making

and yet another wedding LO (needs journaling)

so to update my August list

    1. White with One DONE & emailed
    2. Mystical Scrapbooks Spellbound (got one done might work on another today)
    3. Mystical Scrapbooks Gladiators (first four challenges done)
    4. Catch up on Mystical 26 (got 3 done)

Hope you are all having a great w/e
