This challenge is all about sorting ideas and deserves a post of it’s own 🙂
At this point in time I have about 7 folders for ideas & a pile more on my computer. So I need to sort & cull some of them.
I want to get my idea folders down to 4 in number plus 1 mini (A5 size) binder.
Thinking about it I can realistically cut it down to the following folders.
- Ideas
- Techniques & Class
- Book of Me & Family
- Cards
- On the go mini folder
My Ideas folder will contain all my page ideas, sketches, album ideas
The other three folders need no real explanation.
The mini folder will be my go to book for ideas when I’m out cropping so will contain a variety of different bits and pieces – favourite sketches, poems, quotes, page ideas, journaling prompts, stuff I’m currently working on. It’s also big enough to store my 4×6 photos when going to crops 😀
Album planners, Supply lists, Patterns, Printables and Templates will all get their own folder in the filing cabinet.
I’m thinking I will get another folder similar to what I store my A4 paper in to store my A4 templates – makes them more portable for when I go cropping. BUT we’ll get to them in a later challenge 😉
All my idea books will go on the bookshelf (I own like 5 or 6 so they don’t take up much room)
Magazines – this is the hard one. I’m thinking I’ll keep the most recent ones – say 4 or 5 issues. Scan the techniques, ideas etc out of the old ones then donate them to my cousin’s kids who scrapbook. I think I have every Scrapbooking Memories mag I ever bought *sigh* but the more I get rid of the more room for new scrapping supplies right?
well now that’s settled I can work on actually getting that done 🙂
next post will be an update on how I’m going then I’ll continue with the next seven challenges.
Until next time.
