2022 in review

Here we are in 2023 so it’s time to do a review.

I didn’t pick a word of the year in 2022 but if I had Chaotic would probably have been a good choice.  A few life issues and events got in the way of my crafting and I now know that I need to schedule craft time.

Daily pages ended up being very on and off. I got to June with the 4×6 index cards and I do love them. I worked through the 30 days of showing up at the Awesome Ladies and did my Daily Pages in Canva. This was a great way of getting my pages done. Further into the year I found somewhere in Australia that sells Field Notes so I tried that and really love that size.

100 Happy Days. Done & dusted for another year.

Try a photo a day challenge. I managed to pretty much keep up with this, only missing a few days here and there. Now I need to save them and add them to the gallery.

I could go on and on about how much I love the Heidi Swapp memory planner system using the Storyline Chapters books but I’m not going to. I fell a bit behind over winter but I have the whole year planned digitally and all my photos up to December printed.

Due to some health issues (not mine), work has been a bit quieter so money is a lot tighter and sadly I had to give up a few things. Fussy Cutting Cuties was one. The exchange rate between here and the US is killer. I will miss this one.

Day in the Life and Week in the Life were both done and in my memory planner.

December scrapbooking didn’t exactly happen as we were busy with all the end of year festivities as well as end of primary school events for our eldest. I did, however, journal daily so I can sit down and get my pages done when I feel like it.

How did your crafting plans go in 2022?

Hello December

How is it December already? I swear I say that every year.

Just a quickie post today with my plans for December and some December freebies.

I’m doing December Daily/Journal Your Christmas. Still not entirely sure of my plan for creating as yet. The only thing I do know is take a bunch of photos and journal in Day One.

Daily pages for December I’m thinking of playing with a vintage themed junk journal and revisiting some of the 30 Lists prompts from Decembers past. I do miss having that to do.

So, expect to see some of that and some catching up from the other creative things I’ve been up to through out the month.

Christmas freebies (I’ll be updating this list as I find more)

Well, what do we have here?

It’s a new home and a new name for Nightwolf Scraps.

I decided that the time had come to clean out a lot of the old (ie posts from the early 2010s) and give the blog a new name that is more a reflection of what I do.

Thus Nightwolf Creates was born.

I don’t just scrapbook anymore, I’ve branched into mixed media, card making, drawing, painting, digital art as well as memory keeping in various forms.

What will you find on Nightwolf Creates? More galleries of my creations. Monthly round ups. Tutorials. Reviews of products I’ve bought or been gifted.
I may have a few new things in the works but they won’t be until later.

100 Happy Days – 2022 edition

Well we’re back again for another year of 100 Happy Days. I’ve been doing this project since 2014? & I love taking a little snapshot daily of something that has made me happy. I start my 100 days on March 26 and go through until July 3rd. I use the Collect app to collect my images and at the end of the month use the collage feature.I originally had it posted on my main blog but moved it here in 2019 and I try and share my photos monthly.

What is the 100 Happy Days project? It’s a photo project that challenges you to post something that makes you happy, daily, for 100 days.

What’s happening around here

I’ve been picked as the most recent Awesome Ladies Member Spotlight. I’d love you to go check it out Smile
https://theawesomeladiesproject.com/inspiration/awesome-lady-spotlight-caroline/

Apart from that it’s been the usual – daily pages, book of me, memory planner, fussy cutting cuties and general crafting.

Now the light is a bit more neutral during the day (when it’s not raining) I’m getting around to photographing my projects for the first quarter of the year so keep an eye out for them soon.

Day in the Life 2022

Playing along with Ali Edwards and doing Day in the Life.
I take my pictures and do all my journaling in the Day One app (I seriously love this app for memory keeping). I’ll most like make a fold out to add to my 2022 memory planner, similar to last year.

Our day.

Wake up early, thanks to the kitties who want their breakfast. It’s also Chippie’s first birthday today.
Morning routine: Shower, kids ready for school, breakfast, take kids to school, grab some petrol (currently sitting at $2.10 a litre for diesel), pick up Dad & drop him to TAFE, home to check emails and the planner for the day. Morning Meds
Time to grab a shower for myself & wash the hair.
Happy mail – new Planners Anonymouse sub kit: Book Lover 2
Lunch time – ham salad roll and hot chips.
Picked up Dad then dropped him home. Got stuck in traffic on the way back, means the MIL has to pick up the kids.
Littliest kiddo got a Reach for the Stars
Washing up and getting ready for tea.
Sunset (& a filthy window)
Tea – Baked zitti and garlic bread.
Bed time shenanigans
Some TV viewing for the adults (today it’s Curse of Oak Island) & a cuppa before heading to bed.
Night meds. Quick read of a few chapters of Circe and flick through the News app on my iPad.
Good night!
