I’ve been a pocket scrapper for so long. To be honest I haven’t kept up with it at all since probably 2018. I’ve dabbled a bit with planning the pages but that’s it. When I saw Heidi Swapp’s class Stop the Blur advertised in May last year, I was curious. I didn’t join that month but after seeing a few spreads around the net (& getting a discount for the first month) I bit the bullet and joined. Each month Heidi shares 4 techniques and a printable to use in your planner.
Anywho, I was given the Storyline Chapters planner for my birthday in January and I think I’m slowly becoming a memory planner.
I’ve managed to keep up with the monthly spreads. It’s actually really easy. Each calendar page has monthly highlights, things that make me smile and a few photos from the month.
The next spread is something that happened each day (a line a day, if you will), In the News for major news stories, events, important things to remember, monthly highlights and goals. I’m also including the new recipes we’ve tried, what we’re watching and the monthly Covid stats for the world and Australia. Starting in March I also added a section for what was happening this time last year. It’s been interesting looking back and seeing how Covid unfolded and changed our lives.
I’m slowly working through my weekly spreads but they aren’t ready to share in order yet. You can definitely see when I started getting more game with embellishments. Hopefully I’ll be back soon and share January and February weeklies with you all.
If you are interested in checking out Stop the Blur, pop on over to Heidi’s website (while you are there, check out the Stop the Blur kit too).
In October you say?! Well yeah, when you’re prepping for December scrapping.
Since 2010 I’ve done, or attempted to do, Shimelle’s Journal Your Christmas. I’ve also followed Ali Edwards’ December Daily but never done it.
This year I’m going to attempt a mish mash of JYC and December Daily.
Wish me luck!
I’m thinking 6×8 as I have a tonne of 6×8 stuff, and I do love that size. I’ll just need a new album.
Don’t think I’ll buy any new supplies unless, of course I see something that sparks my interest – like the new Christmas Kellie Stamps sets (especially that planner set!!)
Now off to create a stash box for all my Christmas themed goodies
Yup it’s time for Shimelle’s Journal Your Christmas again.
I’m keeping it super simple this year and will hopefully actually finish it. Looking forward to creating something festive this year.
This year I’m going to try and share something everyday, be it a page or just my thoughts on the prompt.

It’s been a little while since I’ve shared here. Life has been busy which sadly means not much time for creative pursuits.
Anywho, Kristin of rukristin and Megan of The Nerd Nest have created the next instalment of their awesome workshop My Details.
This round is all about Citizenship.
MyDetails: Citizenship Edition encourages you to tell the story of who you are.
The story of you is also a story of where you are from, where you live, your culture, and who you are as a citizen. With this workshop, you’ll document the details of yourself as a community member (whether it be national, regional, or local) as well as how the details of your culture/society impact your life. No matter what your citizen-story looks like, this workshop will help you document the details that are most meaningful to you.
Whether you’re a blogger, a mini book maker, an art-journaler, a scrapbooker, or any other creative or wannabe-creative person, we’ve got the best ideas to make sure you are telling YOUR story and documenting YOUR details in your memory keeping!
When you register you’ll get access to twice weekly prompts in your inbox, and you might see a familiar face If you’re interested, check out this page.
I’m looking forward to creating some pages and adding them to an album about me.
