This year was extremely light on photos, mainly cause I forgot it was WitL until late on the Monday. Some things I can go back and grab a pic of later but, honestly, I’m not overly worried.
Monday
Slept in. Usual pay week Monday. Organise our budget, menu plan and do the grocery list. Had some self care time for me. Caught up on some TV. Did slow cooked honey soy brisket for tea.
Tuesday
Just pottering around home doing housework. Watched this week’s episode of WWE Raw. K had a doctors appointment in the afternoon, then went to her bestie’s place for a sleepover. Treated A and we got school shop pizza for tea then her choice for dessert.
Wednesday
Payday. Up early to take Paisley, Rhino, Deer, Giraffe, Monkey & Chimp to Just Cats as they are all graduating foster care. Breezer got a vaccination booster. Came home with a bunch of freebies thanks to one of the other foster carers. New cat tree which out kitties love. Grabbed some stuff at Officeworks for organising the bedroom. Home and did the online grocery shop and paid bills.
Picked up K then went down to the Launchpad to see the coordinator of Seagulls to Chips about a few things. Apricot chicken for tea then a quite evening watching craft videos. Signed up for a Art Therapy certificate course.
Thursday
ANZAC Day. Watched lots of ANZAC Day events on TV. Did laundry. Cleaned the lounge room. Overall it was a pretty quiet day. We had Chicken Kyiv and pasta for tea, and the kids had dino nuggets.
Friday
Quiet morning pottering around home. Went to a meeting for one of my web clients. Picked up our Woolies order. Put money in the bank for work. Ordered a Hubbl. Had an afternoon nap. Made beef schnitzels for tea then hot fudge and caramel sauce to go on ice cream for dessert.
Worked on a bunch of stuff for my blogs before heading to bed.
Saturday
Up early for a Saturday and headed into Launceston. Grabbed our fortnightly veggies, then went to Kmart and did some shopping. Grabbed Maccas for lunch then headed to Hillwood to visit Dad.
Did a bunch of cleaning. Started on the sun room and did all the litter trays. Folded all the kids clean clothes. Spent the evening pottering in the bedroom.
Chicken tacos for tea.
Sunday
Big cleaning day and getting ready for back to school tomorrow.
Stripped all the bed, washed sheets and remade beds. Took K out so she could go hang out with E. Did a bunch of washing. Quick clean of the dining room. Folded more clean washing. Made sure bags, clothes and lunch boxes are ready for tomorrow, as Term 2 starts tomorrow.
Had a variety tea – pancakes for A, sushi for K and leftover brisket for J & I.
Watched the last of the videos for the ALP Creative Intensive Organisation course. J had his weekly Sunday gaming session (playing Traveller RPG at the moment) so I did some art and set up my planner for the week and prepped my May pages.
Bed at a reasonable time so we can all get up early tomorrow.
Last year was a bit of a failure for my memory planner. I’ve got all my digital plans done in Photoshop, journaling done in Day One but next to nothing done in the actual book.
This year I have a bit of a plan:
So essentially more accountability this year. I really hope it will keep me on track.
I’m not sure if I will continue subbing to Heidi’s stop the Blur kits when my 12 month sub finishes. The exchange rate is a pain and, honestly I have hardly used any of the stuff I have. I’ll keep doing the monthly classes though as I love the techniques and ideas she shares as well as the monthly printable. Maybe 2024 is my year to use my stash!
Yes I’m giving this another go.
So far I’ve managed most days. Sadly though the app I was using to collate all my photos no longer exists so I’m on the hunt for another. If you know something that works similar to Collect photo app please let me know.
Anyways, since I can’t use Collect anymore I needed something else to do with my photos. obviously Chantelle at Fat Mum Slim had that idea as well cause she create the 2024 Photo A Day bundle. It’s all 366 prompts for this year (but not in the months so you can use them whenever), an ebook on how to take better photos with your phone and a Photo-A-Day journal. Such an awesome idea.
Now I’m not sure how I want to do my journal as yet. Currently I’m adding my photo, prompt and journaling about the photo into the Day One app (it has a calendar view but it’s pretty small) and I think the plan will be at the end of each month I’ll add it all into the journal.
As for sharing here, I’m thinking creating something in Canva to add my photos into then sharing it in my Photo a Day gallery slideshow for the year.
We’ll see how we go.
This week just gone I’ve been taking part in Ali Edwards Week in the Life project. This year I gave myself much more grace and less pressure to take photos and document everything. I journaled each day in my DayOne journal I have set up for Week in the Life as well as using Ali’s Digital Journal in GoodNotes.
I was planning to do this year totally digital and print it out but then I decided to use one of my blank Heidi Swapp Storyline Chapters books as it will sit perfectly with my memory planner books. I’ll print out the pages I want from the digital journal, stick them in and embellish.
Once I’m done I’ll be back to update this post with my album gallery.
Well we’re back again for another year of 100 Happy Days. I’ve been doing this project since 2014? & I love taking a little snapshot daily of something that has made me happy. I start my 100 days on March 26 and go through until July 3rd. I use the Collect app to collect my images and at the end of the month use the collage feature.I originally had it posted on my main blog but moved it here in 2019 and I try and share my photos monthly.

I take my pictures and do all my journaling in the Day One app (I seriously love this app for memory keeping). I’ll most like make a fold out to add to my 2022 memory planner, similar to last year.
Our day.
Wake up early, thanks to the kitties who want their breakfast. It’s also Chippie’s first birthday today.
Morning routine: Shower, kids ready for school, breakfast, take kids to school, grab some petrol (currently sitting at $2.10 a litre for diesel), pick up Dad & drop him to TAFE, home to check emails and the planner for the day. Morning Meds
Time to grab a shower for myself & wash the hair.
Happy mail – new Planners Anonymouse sub kit: Book Lover 2
Lunch time – ham salad roll and hot chips.
Picked up Dad then dropped him home. Got stuck in traffic on the way back, means the MIL has to pick up the kids.
Littliest kiddo got a Reach for the Stars
Washing up and getting ready for tea.
Sunset (& a filthy window)
Tea – Baked zitti and garlic bread.
Bed time shenanigans
Some TV viewing for the adults (today it’s Curse of Oak Island) & a cuppa before heading to bed.
Night meds. Quick read of a few chapters of Circe and flick through the News app on my iPad.
Good night!

This year I ended up doing much more journaling than picture taking but the beauty of it is I can always go back and take photos later.
Most of our days were taken up with work (the joys of being your own boss and an essential service) and schooling from home. Or should I say the battle to get the eldest to do her schooling.
I decided to add a little something new this year to my journaling and at the end of each day filled in the answers to the following questions:
Today I:
Really apart from the schooling from home and not going anywhere unless really necessary, this year wasn’t all that different to previous years. Now to get my pages done in my Covid album.
It’s nearly that time of year again.
And…. last year didn’t happen and I ended up doing what I did for 2015-2017. A calendar and a bunch of 2×2 pictures.
Also, hadn’t shared them, so here they are…..

Worst case scenario…. a calendar and a bunch of 2×2 photos
