Welcome to the third instalment of iPhone app Saturday.
Today I’ll be reviewing an app for parents – MagicSleep.
(from the MagicSleep site)
MagicSleep is an incredibly effective sleep aid for infants and toddlers, and works equally well for adults. Based on our most primal memories, MagicSleep recreates the sounds inside the womb using the most advanced psychoacoustic sound sources, convolution reverb processing, and digital signal processing.
If you don’t have an iPhone you can buy MagicSleep on CD or as an MP3.
Buy MagicSleep here for $3.99US.
What I like:
sends Miss K to sleep very quickly, will usually settle her if she is upset or wakes overnight;
works well for adults as well as littlies (I’ve often fallen asleep listening to this
What I don’t like:
I upgraded in app and after a problem upgrading the OS & having to reinstall all my apps, I went back to the free version. If I want the full version again I have to repay for it. (for the record I just bought the MP3 & use that now)
The contact info on the site bounces back, so complaints go nowhere.
The app hasn’t been updated in ages.
Overall I’d probably recommend either buying the full version or the MP3, not getting the free Lite version & upgrading in app.
