On my Wishlist

(I’m hoping to make this a weekly thing)

I used to design digital kits, then life got in the way. I would love to get back into it all but feel my style needs to evolve. Hence todays wishlist.

I really, really want to take The Art of Digital Design course at Jessica Sprague. but holy heck, $325!! really not on the list of affordable things right now (& I know hubby wouldn’t let me spend that much)

So I need to start saving Winking smile

What one thing is one ur wishlist at the moment?

MagicSleep

Welcome to the third instalment of iPhone app Saturday.

Today I’ll be reviewing an app for parents – MagicSleep.

18e64a78-94fe-427d-93b7-b0d7defee159

(from the MagicSleep site)
MagicSleep is an incredibly effective sleep aid for infants and toddlers, and works equally well for adults. Based on our most primal memories, MagicSleep recreates the sounds inside the womb using the most advanced psychoacoustic sound sources, convolution reverb processing, and digital signal processing.

If you don’t have an iPhone you can buy MagicSleep on CD or as an MP3.

Buy MagicSleep here for $3.99US.

What I like:
sends Miss K to sleep very quickly, will usually settle her if she is upset or wakes overnight;
works well for adults as well as littlies (I’ve often fallen asleep listening to this

What I don’t like:
I upgraded in app and after a problem upgrading the OS & having to reinstall all my apps, I went back to the free version. If I want the full version again I have to repay for it. (for the record I just bought the MP3 & use that now)
The contact info on the site bounces back, so complaints go nowhere.
The app hasn’t been updated in ages.

Overall I’d probably recommend either buying the full version or the MP3, not getting the free Lite version & upgrading in app.

Journal Your Christmas

I’ve picked out my album & size

I’m going to go with this album in 8×8

Not sure about the inside pages as yet. Guess I’ll do a combination of digital & paper. Picked up some cute digi supplies during iDSD so looking forward to using them.

Also ordered some new Spica pens to go with my copics, should have ordered a couple of reds as well. Oh well, next pay.

Today

(god my post titles suck lol)

I want to join this. I pink puffy heart Leonie. She is such an inspiration. but $99 is a bit much at the moment. Maybe next year.

and the ferals decided to be, well feral tonight. We had yelling and thumping of cars and the cops showing up. ah gotta love where we live LOL not. on the upside bub slept through it all.

and I think I’ve seen my new computer monitor – a Viewsonic 22in widescreen LED. A friend bought one & it is awesome!

Hmm, what else……

Scrapping Shoebox is open Smile Working on the marketplace area for stores to advertise.

I actually got to watch Bones without a crying baby (the last three weeks, Miss K has woken up just as Bones has started and been very sooky – tonight… sound asleep…… yay mummy time lol)

anyways off to bed for me

Random stuff for a Momday

So I don’t know if anyone reads this thing anymore except the spaers (& they are lovin me ATM lol)

Had a bit of a random day
Bought some christmas pressies. Watched kick ass (it’s not too bad).
Found out bub loves the young ones as much as her mum (there’s someone at the doooor – cracks me up).
Sick of the ferals, I mean kids, in the street throwing rocks at each other and running in & out of our driveway. Seriously kids piss off!! Get some respect *sigh* (got told to f&$k off by a 10 year old last weekend)
Just random stuff.
Finished working on one of the sites I’ve got in my list to do.

Anywho it’s late & I’m tired. Nite all

In need of posting

Ok so it’s sunday. I need to have a mini rant lol
I am over spammers! There, said it, feel better!
What spam prevention measures do you take on ur blog?

On to happier things. Journal your Christmas 2010. I’m on the hunt for supplies so link me up to your favourites – either paper or digi. I need some inspiration.

Just a short post today, Feeling really tired as not much sleep in the house cause of a teething bub. Might go have a nanna nap Winking smile

Coolibah

Today is international Digital Scrapbooking Day (or iDSD for short) so I thought I’d share one of my favourite digi scrapping apps for iPhone (& iPad).

Coolibah – the app that lets u digi scrap anywhere & anytime (as long as u have ur iPhone with u lol). Got a spare 5 minutes while waiting for something? Whip out your phone, load Coolibah and get scrapping!
The app is free but all the pages you create will have a watermark on them. You can upgrade in app to remove the watermark & get a few other extras. And because it’s iDSD they are having a sale – 75% off the upgrade November 6-7 only.

There is a great selection of kits to download from designers such as Amy Teets, Studio Flergs and many more. Most of the kits aren’t free but there is a wide selection of freebies (and at $1.19 a kit you really can’t complain)

I’ve made pages and wallpapers using this app. Here’s a couple of examples.

Oh yeah, I always export to screen quality so I can use them on my computer as well.

Get the app here. (iPhone & iPad)

Happy Mail

I got some happy mail today from Colorbok (I pink puff heart them) for doing a survey.

It’s a full album kit. It’s all pink and girly so I think I’ll use it for one of Miss K’s albums.

On some other scrappy news hubby paid for me to do Shimelle’s Journal Your Christmas class *YAY* Now to decide what size album to do & start gathering supplies……
