Happy Mail

I got some happy mail today from Colorbok (I pink puff heart them) for doing a survey.

It’s a full album kit. It’s all pink and girly so I think I’ll use it for one of Miss K’s albums.

On some other scrappy news hubby paid for me to do Shimelle’s Journal Your Christmas class *YAY* Now to decide what size album to do & start gathering supplies……

Happy anniversary

This morning 4 years ago I was one not well person. I was due at the hair dresser and was throwing up. I hadn’t been well for about 4 months. So a quick trip to the doctors and one injection later I was on my way to the hairdresser.
Why was I stressed about being sick and going to get my hair done?

Yup, it was my wedding day.
This time 4 years ago I became a Mrs no longer a Miss. The wedding was held at Brickendon in Longford. If you ever get a chance to go there, do, the place is gorgeous.

I mean, seriously, how cute is this chapel. We got married in the gardens next to it.

We then had our photos taken in the grounds then into the main hall for our wedding banquet.IMG_0693

Unfortunately I ended up feeling sick again before we had the chance to have our first dance. Sad smile

Our first night spent as husband & wife was spent here.

And here we are four years on, in our own home, with a gorgeous 8 month old daughter.

Question for my fellow scrappers

Do I sign up for Shimelle’s Journal your Christmas or do I do Ali Edwards’s December Daily?

Which would be the best one for recording our little one’s first Christmas?

I love both ideas & am torn between the two.

Open to suggestions Smile

My favourite pic

(well one of them)003I just love this photo of Miss K. She pulls the cutest faces now.
Still can’t believe 8 months have gone by already!

1st November

means Day one for NaBloMoPo.

nablo10.90x33

What is NaBloMoPo, I hear you ask?
Essentially, it’s a group of people who have committed to updating their blogs once a day for an entire month. (from the NaBloPoMo site).

So everyday between now and Nov 30 I’ll be posting every day. Look for more posts from me. Might be digging my blog list out from Shimelle’s blogging class.

Anyways I’ll be back tomorrow with something new Winking smile

  • Create album for December Daily

iPhone app Saturday

Since NaBloMoPo is coming up I thought I’d get in the swing of  getting back to posting daily. So at this stage Saturday will be my day to share a review of an iPhone app that I am using.

First on the list is HomeRoutine.
(Quick bit of background, I’m restarting on the FlyLady routines (again) and while flicking thru the Aussie group post I saw mention of iPhone apps and came across this one so thought I’d try it out)

Site: http://www.homeroutines.com/
About: HomeRoutines is simple, encouraging, and designed to support the structure of housework systems that you already know and love, while still remaining flexible to your own customizations or your own way of working.
Works with FLyLady, Organised Home Household Notebook, Daily 7 jobs from Totally Together Journal, Brain on Paper from HabitHacker
All those sorts of lists fit very easily into the HomeRoutines app on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.
Get it here
Cost: $US4.99

What I think: I’ve only been using the app a couple of days but it’s been great so far. The site goes thru setting up the app to follow the Flylady baby steps.
It’s easy to use, easy to customise. I love the accomplishments list, means I can look back at the end of each day & know I have done things.
I like: the gold stars, the accomplishment list, ease of setup/customisation, the daily message
What I’d like to see: the ability to add a menu plan (I currently have it set up as a routine)
What I don’t like: haven’t found anything yet

What Pencil Lines is all about?

Pencil Lines is a blog all about using sketches to expand your artistic horizons, get you outside your box, and lift you out of scrappers block and to help you get more layouts done. It is about thinking outside your normal processes to create something wonderful

(above text taken from the Pencil Lines blog)

Another one of my favourite go-to sites for inspiration. Go check them out & help them celebrate 4 years of inspiring scrappers 🙂
