February 2010 roundup

(The first of a few posts for today)

Well it’s that time of month again – time for my monthly round up.

(The idea & questions for my round up come from Katie the Scrapbook Lady.)

  • What books and/or magazines did I read this month? What to Expect During the First Year, Scrapbooking Memories, Mother & Baby
  • What movies, television shows, plays, etc. did I watch this month?
    Movies  – Inglorious Basterds (sp?)
TV – Dr Who, Spartacus – Blood & Sand, Caprica
  • What fun things did I do with my family and/or friends? Celebrated the first birthday of my cousin’s son
  • What gifts did I give and/or receive? Received – Lots of gorgeous flowers and bits and pieces for Kara
  • What special or unusual purchases did I make? Bought some clothes for Kara. Hubby & I bought an iPhone each.
  • What illnesses or health concerns did I have? None
  • What were my accomplishments this month? Giving birth to my gorgeous daughter, Kara Rose and only using the happy gas as pain relief.
  • What were my disappointments this month? None
  • How did I do on my goals for the month? (Or any current short or long term goals) The nursery was complete just days before I went to hospital. I took a HEAP of photos. I have managed to journal everyday (even if it is is just in a notepad doc & then transferred to my diary at the end of the week.
  • Anything else noteworthy to include? Being a mother is awesome. I’m  amazed at the huge number of iPhone apps out there. Kara is the most precious thing ever 🙂

Tasks to do

  1. Back up all digital pictures. Format memory cards. Sort all February photos into 2010 folder. Make a backup copy of the photos onto my desktop computer and EHD. DONE
  2. Backup any other documents or files as needed. (doing this today as I need to rebuild my main computer when we get our full version of Windows 7 – still running the RC)
  3. Backup my blogs.
  4. Clean off my work area, empty my inbox, and clean up my computer files.

Goals for March

  • Journal every day.
  • Take more photos
  • Start scrapping Kara’s album
  • Do more scrapbooking
