Another contest

One of my favourite blog designers – Gisele is having a contest on her blog.

birdiecardcontestclick on the image above to read all about it. & while you’re there check out the gorgeous designs (I use one of them on bub’s blog)

In other news, I’m teaching myself how to write WordPress themes. Currently working on a new one for here so hopefully I’ll have a new theme soon. not that there is anything wrong with this one – just want something I made myself 🙂

Didn’t get to work on what I’m creating yesterday but that’s what I’m planning on going to do for the rest of the arvo so will be back with some pictures later 🙂

Well it’s that time of month again – time for my monthly round up.

  • What gifts did I give and/or receive? Gave – Dad a Sony DSLR for his 60th. Received – New Mothers Journal, some Hot Milk PJs, a cute little white tiger ornament, some cupcake thingies, a Hawks hat, some clothes for bub, a car seat organiser, a CM album & blank pagesand a lamb PJ bag.
  • What special or unusual purchases did I make? Got some prints framed for the nursery.
  • What illnesses or health concerns did I have? Swollen ankles

  • What were my disappointments this month? Taking so long to get the nursery done.
  • How did I do on my goals for the month? (Or any current short or long term goals) Didn’t set any goals for January really, except for getting the nursery set up (which is almost done) and getting the office finished.
  • Anything else noteworthy to include? The side fence is done.

Tasks to do

  1. Back up all digital pictures. Format memory cards. Sort all January photos into 2010 folder. Make a backup copy of the photos onto my desktop computer and EHD.
  2. Backup any other documents or files as needed.
  3. Backup my blog.
  4. Clean off my work area, empty my inbox, and clean up my computer files.

Goals for February (something new I’m starting this month)

  • Get the nursery finished before bub is born.
  • Take more photos
  • Journal every day.

It’s all about me today

ROFL well it is my birthday biggrin

Had a great day. Went to an appointment at the hospital to check all is well with me & bub. Looks like they are happy to let me go to term (or slightly over) so no induction dance Have another appointment next week. I still can’t believe it’s only 2 weeks away! As always, sub to my baby blog if you want to keep up to date.

Mum & I picked up the Deborah Woods pictures we had framed for the nursery. Will share pictures soon.

Got some awesome pressies

Hubby gave me the New Mother’s Journal. It’s awesome.

Mum & Dad gave me some Hot Milk PJs (OMG I love the Hot Milk range), a cute little white tiger ornament and some cupcake thingies.

The inlaws gave me a Hawks hat, some clothes for bub, a car seat organiser & a CM album & blank pages.

Had a few phone calls from rellies on the mainland as well. Was nice to catch up with them. Have added some more family on Facebook. Gotta love that LOL

Onto other news……..

Not much on the scrapping front to report.

Renovation wise – the new office is done apart from curtains. It’s looking really good. The nursery is almost done, just need to finish patching up some holes & paint over them. then I can set up the cot.

Project 365 is going along ok so far in 2010. I’ve got 26 photos uploaded to my Picasa album here and my layouts for my 2010 album are here. You can always sub to my Project 365 blog to keep up to date

Well it’s nearly 11pm so I guess I should head to bed. Will be pottering around here tomorrow. Still moving stuff to the new office. Will catch up on some housework as well.

Been awhile

since I posted.

So much is going one around here at the moment. We’ve been working on the back room trying to get that all ready so we can move computers out & set up the nursery.

Done a few digi layouts. most are on my Project 365 blog.

Here’s a couple I’ve done for the weekly Log Your Memory 2010 challenges.

Week 1
LYM_Week One

Week 2

LYM_Week-Two

Week 3

It’s weird how I go thru stages of doing a heap of digi scrapping and hardly any paper scrapping (or the other way round).

I’ve also been working on some more pages for my bub journal. Will share some of them over the weekend.

Well that’s about it from me for now.

Finally

I have picked my word for 2010

FAMILY

I’m thinking bout a layout to showcase my word. Think I’ll add it to one of my 2010 albums I’m working on.

Family is going to be such a big thing this year for us, what with the addition to our family in the next 6 weeks.

Lots to do today so will be back later 🙂

Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2010

Hope you all had a great NYE. We had a quiet one and then ended up chasing the cat around outside after she escaped *sigh* hopefully hubby has blocked up the holes so she can’t get out again.

Started on my Project 365 today. You can keep up to date with all my Project 365 stuff over here.

Now to start on my 2010 logbook.

P.S. Still haven’t worked out my word for 2010 yet

Out with the Old

and in with the New. (warning this is a fairly longish post)

Well today marks the end of 2009 and at midnight it will be 2010. Wow where did the last 12 months go?

It’s been an up & down year for us here at the Wolf’s Den, fortunately more ups than downs.

I finally got around to starting my own scrapbooking business. It’s had its fair share of ups & downs but I for see 2010 will be an awesome year (especially with the opening of our new forum & gallery today, come on over & take a look).

Hubby & I finally fell pregnant (why do you fall pregnant? I’ve always wondered that LOL). Our little bundle of joy is due in about 6 weeks. The only problem I’ve had is gestation diabetes (& a few arguments over that but that’s a different story)

Computer business wise, things are starting to really look up. We’ve got our business loan payed off and we’ve starting to get regular customers and are doing work for a few of the local businesses which is great.

Looking forward to 2010.

I love Ali Edwards idea of a word for the year. I think in 2009 I chose Create, well I did a fair bit of that 😉 I’m not sure what word I’ll pick yet. What’s your word for 2010?

I saw this on Sj’s blog and I thought it was a great idea as I’ve always been interested in numerology. Want to know what year you are in? Check out this page.

2010 for me is a 5 year.

Personal Year 5. . . . Feeling Loose and Free
This is a number 5 year, a year of major change in your life. Horizons are expanded and growth is less impeded. You are likely to make a number of new friends this year as social activities are expanded. This is a year that has brought/will bring excitement and adventure and a good deal more freedom than you have experienced in recent years. This is a time for feeling loose and free; for moving away from old routines in a constructive way. If you became bogged down during this past year, now is the time to seek out new directions.

The problem with a personal year 5 is the tendency to scatter energies in all directions. Your ability to do detail work is limited now and it will make you feel very confined. In all, this a free-wheeling year that is liable to bring major changes to your life; your career, your family situation, your residence.

Hubby on the other hand is in a 1 year – A New Beginning In Your Life.

Goals for 2010 (cause I hate resolutions & I always break them lol)

  • I aim to do more scrapbooking. I’m hoping to get together with Mum at least once a month.
  • Hold classes or crops for my scrapping business. Will probably look into this more once bub is a couple of months old and we have a ‘routine’ happening.
  • Get my Ls & learn to drive. A promise I made to Dad when we bought our new car. With bub around it will be a necessity.
  • Journal every day. I got the Log Your Memory 2010 Memory Log Book so hopefully that will help
  • Complete Project 365. You can follow my project here.
  • Take a couple of online classes

Hope you all have a great evening & don’t party too hard 😉 Us here, we’re getting an early nite.

Bring on 2010!!!!

What were my disappointments this month? Having a couple of arguments with hubby. My main computer having a fit (must see if I can fix it today, otherwise it’s saving up for new parts *sigh*), lucky I have the laptop.

Anything else noteworthy to include? The weather. It has been really weird. Some days are super warm, others not so and others really wet.

Tasks (will be done over the next few days)

  • All digital pictures sorted and copied to EHD, and burnt to 2009 disc.
  • Backup any other documents or files as needed.
  • Backup your blog if you have one.
  • Clean off work area and empty inbox or clear up papers that have been piling up.
  • Clean off your computer desktop & download folder as well. Unzip files and put them away.

OMG there’s a hole in our wall

Hubby & I have been talking bout removing a wall (well actually it’s a desk/bookshelf thing) between our lounge & the spare bedroom (which is a room for storing junk atm) and making the spare room our dining room/gaming room/scrapping room (since the office is moving to my current scrapping room – bub is getting the current office)

anyways we got home from being out for lunch on Sunday & decided to clear off the bookshelf and as you know one thing lead to another and the bookshelf/desk is now no more LOL

I’ll have to dig out a before picture as I don’t have one on the laptop but here’s some of the during shots.

002 004 011

It’s still a mess but that’s my plan for the next few days – cleaning up, sorting, chucking stuff out and then putting stuff away in it’s new home (or storing it in the garage until it is needed.
